Our Materials
Guate, Guate, Guatemala! There are few places left in the world where traditional dress is so embraced and lucidly celebrated. On our most recent visit, we were able to partner with a number of different families, craftsman, and weaving communities. Many of the bags and textiles we brought back with us are skilfully made from hand-woven "Huipil's", or Mayan blouses. Women still use the backstrap weaving techniques and floral motifs that derive from their ancestors.
